Brahmanbaria: Two people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a microbus and a truck at Bertala on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on Monday morning.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The Bishwaroad Highway Police Camp Officer-in-charge Alamgir Siddik said the accident took place when the Dhaka-bound microbus from Brahmanbaria collided head-on with the truck coming from the opposite direction at about 6:45am, leaving two microbus passengers dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were taken to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital, the OC added.
