Police on Saturday morning recovered the bodies of two women and one minor boy, who went missing after a trawler capsized in the Padma River near Harinbaria Bazar in Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari on Friday.

The deceased are identified as Farida Begum,40, Halimon,50, and four-year-old Raju.

Kalukhali Police Station Officer-in-charge Nure Alam Fakir said the Sadarchar-bound trawler from Harinbaria Bazar carrying 20-22 people sank under a bridge nearby at about 6:00pm on Friday.

Five people went missing while others managed to swim ashore.

Police with the help of divers and local people recovered the bodies of Farida Begum, Halimon and Raju from the river at about 7:00am.
