Road accidents kill 3 in Comilla

Three people were killed and five others injured in two separate road accidents in Burichang and sadar upazilas of Comilla early on Saturday.
In Burichang, two passengers of a bus were killed and five others injured as the Chittagong-bound bus of ‘Eagle Paribahan’ plunged into a roadside ditch on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Kabila in the morning, reports UNB.
One of the deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain, 40, a resident of Noakhali.
Maynamati Highway Police Station Officer-in-charge Mahbubur Rahman said the bus plunged into a ditch as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and five others injured.
In sadar upazila, Mainuddin, 24, son of Abdus Salam, a resident of Raijpara in Chandanaish upazila of Chittagong district, was killed as a truck hit another truck at Jhagarjuli on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in the morning.
Police recovered the body after the incident and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
