Lalmonirhat: A man was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident at Jugiteri village under Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat on Monday morning, reports BSS.

The deceased is Abdur Rahim, 46, an employee of Aditmari Palli Bidyut office and son of late Mojibar Rahman, a resident of Stationpara area of the upazila.

Police said the accident occurred when a bus hit a motorcycle from opposite direction in the area at about 10:00am and the vehicle fell into a roadside ditch, leaving motorcycle rider Rahim dead on the spot and 20 other passengers of the bus injured.

The injured were sent to Sadar Hospital and Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
