Sylhet: A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) died after falling off a fountain in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong on Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Animesh Dey, 28, son of Niranjan Dey of Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong.

Animesh who along with his friends went to Noyduaria Napitchhara fountain in the upazila in the afternoon slipped down from its slope and died on the spot, said police.

On information, a team of divers rushed in and recovered the body.
