Satkhira: A construction worker was killed and his three co-workers were injured after being hit by a mixture machine while it was rolling down into a roadside ditch in an uncontrolled fall at Khanpur in Shyamnagar upazila of Sathkhira on Friday.

The deceased is Abur Raihan, in his thirties, a resident of Kaliganj upazila.

The Shyamnagar police Officer-in-charge Enamul Haq said Raihan fell under a mixture machine and his three fellows were crushed as the machine all of a sudden started falling into a roadside ditch when they pushing it towards the construction site at about 6:30am, leaving Raihan killed on the spot and the three injured.

The injured were taken to Shyamnagar Upazila Health Complex.
