Rajshahi: A fire broke out at a jute warehouse at Nauhata in Airport area of Sadar upazila in Rajshahi on Friday.

Fire service officials said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at the jute warehouse, owned by Fazal Hossain, at about 9:00am and spread soon.

Huge jute, pesticides and maize kept inside the warehouse were gutted in the fire, said Fazal.

Two firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the flame.

The affected owner estimated the loss caused by the fire at Tk2 lakh
