Narail: Two people were killed near Khalisakhali Primary School on the Narail-Noapara Road under sadar upazila of Narail on Monday night.

The deceased are Chaiti Biswas, age around 15 years, daughter of Pintu Biswas of Agdierchar village, and Trisha Biswas Tina, around 5 years, daughter of Sadhan Biswas of the same village.

Narail sadar Officer-in-charge Subash Biswas the accident took place when a Narail bound truck collided head-on with a utility vehicle used for public transport in the area at about 9:30pm.

Chaiti Biswas and Trisha Biswas, both passengers of the utility vehicle, died on the spot. The other two female passengers Anjali, and Chittra, were injured during the accident.

They are admitted to Narail and Jessore Sadar Hospital.

After the incident, police went to the spot and seized the truck.

A case was filed with Narail sadar police in this connection.
