Gazipur: Two people were killed as a bus rammed into their motorcycle in Bypass area on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur on Thursday morning.

One of the deceased is Rana Saha, a resident of Baraitali village of the upazila, while another was an employee of Rana’s oil shop.

Gorai highway police sources said the Dhaka-bound ‘Dipu Paribahan’ bus coming from Tangail hit the motorbike carrying the duo in the area while the bike was crossing the highway at about 9:30pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
