Tangail: Three members of a family were killed by lightning strike at Magantinagar Pochatona village in Madhupur upazila of Tangail on Tuesday morning.

The deceased are Misila Hajong, and his two sons—Jorg Simsang, and Lotan Simsang.

The Madhupur Police Officer-in-charge Shafiqul Islam said a streak of thunderbolt struck the trio while they were sleeping at their house in the area at about 8:30am, leaving them dead on the spot.
