Bangladeshis living in S Africa to exercise caution

Dhaka: The Bangladesh nationals living in South Africa have been asked to stay careful and shut down their shops and business institutions until normalcy is back there.
The Bangladesh High Commission in Pretoria has also assured of all-out support to Bangladesh citizens there.
A Foreign Ministry media release issued on Wednesday said no Bangladeshi has so far fallen victim to the anti-migrant conflict there.
Bangladesh and other foreign missions there asked the South African authorities to ensure the security of their respective citizens.
Bangladesh Mission has also opened hotline for its nationals. The numbers are - 0027- 0123432105-7, 0027- 12- 0744871057 and 0027- 12- 0843262828.
The Bangladesh High Commission in Pretoria is in touch with the Bangladeshi community.
Around 60,000 to 70,000 Bangladeshi expatriates are currently living in South Africa.
