Rajshahi: A construction worker died after falling from the roof of a moving bus at Fakirpara Dhalan on the Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi on Saturday evening.

The deceased is Tofazzal Hossain, in his forties, a resident of Chapainawabganj.

Witnesses said Tofazzal was returning home from Dhaka boarding on the roof of a bus of New Rajshahi Delux Paribahan in the afternoon.

When the bus reached Fakirpara Dhalan area, he fell off the roof of the bus after being hit by a roadside tree at about 5:15pm and died on the spot.

On information, police recovered his body.
