Private car-auto rickshaw collision kills 3

Moulvibazar: Three people were killed as a private car collided head-on with CNG-run auto rickshaw at Raznagar upazila in Moulvibazar on Tuesday morning.

Two people were also injured during the accident.

The Raznagar Police Officer-in-charge Shyamal Banik said the accident took place at about 8:30am.

The deceased are Alam Mia, in his forties, a resident of Premnagar area of Raznagar, Azad Mia, around 45 years, a resident of Kushail area of Juri upazila, and Shahin Ahmed, in his twenties, driver of the auto rickshaw.

The bodies were sent to Moulvibazar 250-bed Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The injured are Abdul Ali, believed to be 45, and Kayes Mia, in his thirties. They were taken to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet.

All of the victims were passengers of the CNG-auto rickshaw.

Police and local people said two of the passengers were died on the spot, while another died on the way to hospital.

However, there was no passenger on the private car. The driver fled from the spot immediately after the accident.
