Mymensingh: Three people were killed and three others injured as a pick-up van plunged into a roadside ditch at Kathali in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The Bhaluka Model Police Officer-in-charge Mamunur Rashid said a Mymensingh-bound pick-up van from Dhaka fell into a roadside ditch in the area when its driver lost control over the steering at about 6:30am, leaving two pedestrians dead on the spot and four, including three passengers of the van, injured.

The injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where another pedestrian succumbed to his injures later.
