Khulna: Two people were killed as a private car rammed their bicycle in Arongghata area in Khulna city on Saturday noon.

The deceased are Asad Sheikh, 45 and Salam Bhuiyan, 50, resident of Raimahal area of the city, reports UNB.

The accident took place in the area at about 12:40pm when the private car crashed into the bicycle, leaving the duo critically injured.

The injured were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead.

However, police seized the private car but its driver managed to flee.
