Comilla: Two vegetable vendors were killed and another was injured as a covered van hit a pick-up van on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kalakachua area of Burichong upazila on Sunday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased are Robin, son of Nur Hossainof Aladinagar village and Firoz Miah, son of Abul Hashem of Gonipur village of Begumganj upazila in Noakhali.

When the Dhaka-bound covered van hit the pick-up van it overturned on the road in the morning, leaving its two passengers dead on the spot and another injured, said Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Moynamoti Police Station.

On information, police recovered the bodies.

Police also seized the two vehicles.
