Magura: At least 10 shops were gutted by a fire that broke out at Alokdia Bazar in Sadar upazila of Magura on Tuesday.

Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) sources informed that the fire originated from the stove of a tea stall and soon engulfed nine adjoining shops at about 10:00pm.

On information, firefighters went to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Five people also sustained injuries while extinguishing the flame.

The affected shop owners claimed that the loss caused by the fire could go up to Tk 50lakh.
