Noakhali: A woman and a girl were killed as a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Sonaimuri-Begumganj bypass Road in the upazila headquarters in Noakhali on Thursday morning.

The names of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Tomas Barua, sub-inspector of Sonaimuri Police Station, said the bus hit the auto-rickshaw in the area at about 11:30am, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies.
