Comilla: Two people were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Padua in Chouddagram upazila of Comilla early on Thursday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

The accident took place at about 5:00am when a Cox’s Bazar-bound bus of ‘Hanif Paribahan’ from Dhaka collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction, leaving two passengers of the bus dead on the spot and eight others injured, said Abu Foysal, officer-in-charge of Chouddagram Police Station.

The injured were taken to Chouddagram Upazila Health Complex.
