Madaripur: Three people were killed and 10 others injured as a bus hit a Nasiman (utility vehicle) on Dhaka-Barisal Highway in Madaripur on Friday morning.

The deceased were Beyazit Farazi, 12, Hassan Matubbar, 11 and Shipon Matubbar, 28, hailed from Madaripur Sadar upazila.

The injured people were admitted to nearby hospital and clinics. The bodies were sent to Madaripur Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Police said the accident occurred when a passenger bus of Hanif Enterprise hit a Nasimon as its driver lost his control over the steering. The ill fated passengers of the Nasimon died on the spot.
