Naogaon: Two men were killed and three others injured in a collision between a tractor and a utility vehicle used for public transport in Rasulpur area of Atrai upazila in Naogaon on Saturday morning.

The deceased are Bishwajit Saha, in his twenties, and Jahangir Alam, around 40 years, residents of Rashulpur village in the upazila.

Md Badruddoza, officer-in-charge of Atrai Police Station, said the accident took place in the area at about 9:30am as a tractor collided head-on with the utility vehicle (locally named as Bhotbhoti), leaving Jahangir and Bishwajit dead on the spot and three others injured.

A critically injured, Lakshman Chandra, in his thirties, was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) while two others admitted at local hospitals.

On information police recovered the bodies.

A case was filed in this connection.
