Gazipur: A fire broke out at a cotton mill in Ghorghoria Masterbari in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur on Tuesday morning.

Deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence, Md Akhtaruzzaman, said the fire broke out at ‘Eco Cotton Mill’ in the area at about 11:45am.

On information, four fire fighting units from Joydebpur and Mawna fire stations rushed to the spot and started working to douse the fire.

The origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
