Mymensingh: Local people set a bus afire following the death of a pedestrian in a road accident on the Dhaka‐Mymensingh Highway in Masterbari area of Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh on Tuesday night.

A bus knocked down an unidentified man in the area around 10:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot, said Bhaluka Model Police Officer‐in‐charge Mamun‐or‐Rashid.

Agitated local people set another bus plying on the road afire, disrupting traffic movement for sometime.

Later, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
