Gazipur: Fire fighters are trying to bring fire under control at a textile mill at Natun Bazar, Sreepur, in Gazipur on Sunday. Fire broke out at about 2:30pm at Dignity Textile Mills Limited.  

Gazipur Fire Service deputy director Akhtaruzzaman said 14 fire trucks from Gazipur, Kaliakoir, Tongi, Sripur and Bhaluka were sent to the spot.

Fire damaged huge raw material, but the cause and extend of loss are yet to be assessed, said Akhtaruzzaman.

No injury and loss of life was reported as most of the workers came out of the building just after the fire spread in the steel and corrugated iron-sheet-made building.
