Mymensingh: Two motorcyclists, including a Union Council member, were killed as a truck smashed their ride at Bottola in Ishwarganj upazila of Mymensingh early on Tuesday.

The victims are Mortuza Ali, in fifties, UC member of No. 4 Maizbagh union of the upazila, and Shahin Miah, in twenties.

Badrul Alam, officer‐in‐charge of Ishwarganj Police Station, said the moving truck hit the motorcycle around 2:30am,leaving Mortuz dead on the spot and Shahin critically injured.

Shahin died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
