Politics of BNP now bounded into statement, Facebook: Ershad
Khulna: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Tuesday said politics of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) now bounded into statement and Facebook.
They are now suffering from the results of their excess misruling and injustice for the period from 2001 to 2006, he said.
Jatiya Party is now a great factor of country's politics. The people want Jatiya Party in power, he added.
Ershad who is also special envoy to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was addressing at the conference room of Khulna deputy commissioner office as chief guest while inaugurating election activities of S M Mushfiqur Rahman, mayor aspirant of Jatiya Party ahead of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Polls.
Earlier, Ershad formally inaugurated campaign of KCC mayor aspirant S M Mushfiqur Rahman through cutting cake at the DC's conference room.
Ex-Minister and secretary general of Jatiya Party ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, MP, Presidium member Sunil Shubha Roy, District Unit JP president Shafiqul Islam Modhu and central leader Molla Muzibur Rahman, addressed the ceremony as special guests.
Chaired by the senior join convener of KCC election preparation committee of Jatiya Party Sayed Khairul Islam, member secretary of the committee Tayemur Hossain Shaheen conducted the meeting.
Later, some ex-student leaders from Chhatra Union and 15 lawyers including advocate Md. Hafizur Rahman Shanta, advocate Md. Masum Billah, advocate Kajol Sheikh and advocate Emdadul Haque separately joined Jaitiya Party through giving flower buckets to Ershad.
