Sylhet: Two stone quarry workers were killed while they along with other labourers were extracting stones from a hillock in Jaflong area under Gowainghat Upazila in Sylhet on Thursday.

The deceased are Akram Hossain, in his thirties, and Lesu Miah, in his twenties, both residents of Tukerbazar area under the Sadar Upazila.

The Gowainghat Police officer-in-charge Delwar Hossain said the incident happened in a quarry at Nayabosti around 7:00am.
