A paper mill caught fire at Baluakandi in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj on Thursday morning.

Gazaria Police Station Officer-in-charge Hedayat Ullah said the fire erupted at Afil Paper Mills of Akij Group around 11:00am.

On information, six firefighting units from Narayanganj and Comilla rushed in and put out the blaze after four hours of frantic efforts.

Four people, including a firefighter, received injuries during the fire incident, the OC said, adding that it was still not clear what caused the fire.
