Dinajpur boiler blast death toll rises to 13
Dinajpur: Another worker who suffered burn injuries in a boiler explosion at a rice mill in Sadar upazila of Dinajpur on Wednesday last died on Monday.
The injured, Monoranjan, in his thirties, died at Rangpur Medical College Hospital around 8:30am, raising the death toll from the incident to 13.
Meanwhile, Morzina Begum, wife of a deceased worker, Ripon, filed a case against rice mill owner Subol Gosh and twoother people with Kotowali Police Station on Sunday night, said Redwan Rahim, officer‐in‐charge of the police station.
Earlier, eight more injured succumbed to their injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), Rangpur Medical College Hospital and Dinajpur Medical College Hospital on Sunday.
Two workers, including a female one, were killed and 28 people suffered burn injuries as the boiler went off at Jamuna Auto Mill at Gopalganj village in Dinajpur Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
Of the injured, 14 were shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning. Another injured died at Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Friday.
