Tangail: Seven people were killed and 30 others were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Haripur in Ghatail upazila of Tangail on Tuesday night.

The deceased could not be identified yet.

Officer‐in‐charge of Ghatail Police Station Kamal Hossain said the Dhanbari‐bound bus of ‘Binimoy Paribahan’ from Dhaka skidded off the road and fell into the ditch around 10:00pm, leaving its seven passengers dead on the spot and 30 others injured.

The injured were taken to Ghatail upazila health complex, he said.
