Authorities of Camarina Knit Composite Limited, a garment factory, filed a case with Dhamrai police against 32 of its workers on charges of vandalising and plundering the factory.

Dhamrai Police officer-in-charge (OC) Firoz Talukder said the factory’s administrative officer Sajjad Hossain filed the case as on Sunday.

The OC said labourers of the garment factory were observing demonstration and work stoppage demanding new wage scale and unpaid wages.

Though the factory authorities paid the dues, the labourers carried on their protest for a new wage scale.
