Police recovered the slaughtered body of an Awami League leader from Sadar upazila in Noakhali early on Monday. 

The deceased is Babul Mia, Charmatua union Awami League vice president and member of Charmotua ward 2 in the upazila. 

Sadar Police officer-in-charge Anwar Hossain said miscreants killed Babul Mia by sharp weapon, when he was on the way to his residence from the city’s Khalifar Hat.
