Dinajpur: Three people were killed and five others injured as a bus crashed into a utility vehicle used for public transport at Sholo Mile in Kaharole upazila of Dinajpur early on Tuesday.

The accident took place around 2:00am when the bus hit the battery-run utility vehicle carrying a family as they were returning from a programme ‘Harinam Songkirtan’, leaving Boisakh Barman and Gokul Ram dead on the spot and six others injured, said Mansur Ali, officer-in-charge of Kaharole Police Station.

The injured were taken to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital where another man, Shuvo, succumbed to his injuries.
