Natore: Police arrested five people for their alleged involvement t with the death a couple from Shaol village in Singra upazila, Natore, on Sunday night.

The arrestees are Emdadul Haque Kalu, Makbul Hossain, Mamtaz Ali, Abdul Khalek and Shamsul Haque.

The arrestees will be produced before the court on Monday seeking remand, said police.

A couple—Noni Gopal Kundu, in his seventies, a freedom fighter and a resident of Shaol village in Singra upazila, and his wife Chitra Rani Kundu,in her sixties, was strangulated to death by unidentified miscreants in the early hours of Sunday.
