Naogaon: Police arrested an alleged terrorist in possession of a foreign-made pistol, four rounds of bullet and some sharp weapons from his house at Dakkhin Chakjadu village in Dhamoirhat upazila on Wednesday morning.

The arrestee is Aminur Rahman, 32, a resident of the same village.

Dhamoirhat police officer-in-charge Mirza Abdus Salam said on secret information, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of Aminur in the area and arrested him at about 8:30 am.

Police also recovered a foreign-made pistol, four rounds of bullet and some sharp weapons from his possession.

A case was filed under the Arms Act in this connection.
