SSC and equivalent exams scheduled for Thursday have been postponed, said education minister adding that next date of the exams will be announced later.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid announced the postponement of the exams at a press briefing at the ministry’s conference room on Wednesday in Dhaka.

‘We will announce the next date of theses exams soon,’ the minister said.

Education minister also claimed that the authorities are facing difficulties in holding exams as per schedule due to the enforcement of BNP-led 20-Party Alliance’s ongoing blockade.

‘I expect the alliance will withdraw their blockade programme and create the atmosphere for holding rest of the exams peacefully,’ Nahid added.
