ActionAid launches ‘Global Platform Bangladesh’
Dhaka: ActionAid Bangladesh on Sunday launched a programme titled ‘Global Platform Bangladesh’, an innovative space for young people and their organisations aimed at facilitating capacity and skills development, knowledge sharing and research.
The programme was launched at ActionAid office in the capital attended by youth from across the country who will participate in the Global Platform’s first capacity development course.
Introducing the Global Platform to the audience, manager of the programme Leah Gaffney said the platform is ready to welcome inspiring young people to create opportunities for learning and collaboration, to bring about social change together.
Addressing the audience, Farah Kabir, country director of ActionAid Bangladesh, mentioned that the very nature of the organisation, its personality and characteristics are youthful.
The Training of Trainers Course will be the first to be held at the Global Platform in Dhaka and will be attended by 19 young women and men who are actively engaged in taking action and working in their communities.
