1 killed in Ctg train-bus clash

A man was killed and 25 others injured as a train collided with a bus at Ispahani area in Chittagong on Thursday morning.
Gateman Kawsar and provisional gateman Kamrun Hassan said the negligence of railway control room officials is responsible for the accident.
Local people said a Meghna Express train reached the rail gate as it was opened immediately after the Dhaka-bound Karnaphuli Express from Chittagong passed the railway crossing at about 11:15am.
The Meghna Express train collided with a City Service bus on the railway track and left a man died on the spot.
Two of the injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.
The railway authorities formed a three-member investigation committee headed by divisional transport officer Firoz Iftekhar in this connection.
