Chandpur: Detectives in a drive arrested a young man carrying 6,000 pieces of Yaba tablets on the Chanpur-Comilla Highway in Ghosherhat area of Sadar upazila, Chandpur, on Sunday night.

The arrestee is Imran Hossain, 28, a resident of Moddhyarampur area of Satkania upazila of Chittagong.

A team of the Detective Branch (DB) led by sub-inspector Sirajul Islam, intercepted a bus in the area at about 8:30pm and arrested Imran.

They also recovered 6,000 pieces of Yaba tablets after searching his bag.
