Benapole: Train communications of Khulna with Dhaka and the rest of the country were suspended as a fertiliser-laden train derailed in Basundia Sindia area of Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore district on Tuesday morning.

Jessore Railway Station master Manik Saha said a fertiliser-laden Parbatipur-bound train from Khulna veered off the track in the area in the morning, halting train services on all the routes of the country.

However, no casualties were reported.

On information, a relief train from Khulna started for the spot to salvage the derailed train, Manik Saha added.
