Noagaon: A woman and her nephew died from snakebite at Soraigachhi village in Porsha upazila of Noagaon on early Saturday.

The deceased are Habiba, 22, wife of Sabbir Ahmed, and her nephew Tanjid, 3, son of Mahfuza Akhter.

Local said Mahfuza along with her son came to visit her sister Habiba’s house in the village several days ago.

A venomous snake bit Habiba and Tanjid at about 3:00am while they were sleeping in the house, leaving them injured.

Tanjid and Habiba died in the house early in the morning.
