The ‘2020 Happy Chinese New Year Gala’ performance was celebrated on Monday evening at the Bangladesh-China friendship exhibition center in Bangladesh.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming inaugurated the event. The performances of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region art troupe were well received by the people of Bangladesh. The performance lasted two and a half hours with a full house.

The program was sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh. Minister Counsellor Yan Hualong, Cultural Counsellor Sun Yan and Commercial Counsellor Liu Zhenhua, AKM Matiur Rahman, joint secretary of the Asian Department of Economic Relations of the Ministry of Finance, Avijit Chowdhury, General Manager of Export Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, Project Director Md. Chen long, leader of the project construction technical team, were present at the program.

This paper introduces the general situation of the project construction, and expresses that it will try its best to complete the project, striving to be the fulcrum of china-bangladesh cultural exchange and the bridge of china-bangladesh friendship. Live up to the expectations of the people of the two countries, wish the event a successful success, wish the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Bangladesh, and wish the people of the two countries happiness and well-being.

Avijit Chowdhury, general manager of the export promotion bureau of Bangladesh's ministry of commerce, expressed his best wishes for the Chinese New Year 2020 and the successful performance.

He thanked for China's support and assistance to Bangladesh in various fields.

Li Jiming, ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, briefly introduced the development of china-bangladesh cooperation. Li also pointed out that "happy Spring Festival" is a worldwide platform to display Chinese culture.

The Chinese Ambassador said, Bangladesh-China is now passing through a very good time in terms of friendly ties between the two nations. The two countries have now become strategic partners and the mutual cooperation between the nations is increasing.
