Mobile financial services to remain suspended for 48 hrs for election
Dhaka: Financial transaction through mobile financial services (MFS) will remain suspended for 48 hours from Friday for the national election billed for December 30.
Bangladesh Bank has taken the decision as per directives of the Election Commission to shut all kinds of mobile banking services on the occasion of the general election. It issued a circular on Thursday, reports the UNB.
As per the circular, financial transaction through MFS will remain suspended from 5:00pm on Friday to 5:00pm on Sunday.
However, any MFS account holder can withdraw up to Tk 5,000 from his/her own account every day from December 29-30, it said.
