Arastoo Khan new Islami Bank chairman
Dhaka: Arastoo Khan has been elected chairman of the Board of Directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.
He was elected in a meeting of the Board of Directors of the bank held in a city hotel on Thursday.
Yousif Abdullah Al Rajhi has been re-elected and Prof Syed Ahsanul Alam has been elected as vice-chairmen of the bank in the meeting.
Besides, Executive Committee, Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee of the bank have been reformed with Major General (retd) Engineer Abdul Matin, Dr Md Zillur Rahman and Md Abdul Mabud as chairmen respectively, said a bank statement.
Arastoo Khan was the chairman of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited.
He was born to a reputed family of Garpara village in Manikganj district in 1956. He completed his MSS degree from Dhaka University and Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA.
