India announces ICCR scholarships for Bangladeshis

Dhaka: Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Thursday announced the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarships for the academic session 2017-18.

The scholarships are awarded to meritorious Bangladeshi nationals to pursue various courses in India at the undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels, except in medicine.

Around 3000 ICCR scholarships have been granted to Bangladeshi nationals by the government of India till date, according to Indian High Commission. 

Candidates who wish to apply for the scholarships are required to have proficiency in English and should have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks or a GPA of 3 out of 5 in the qualifying examination. 

Application forms for these scholarships along with detailed information/instructions regarding the same may be seen and downloaded from the website of the High Commission of India, Dhaka. 

The last date for submission of application forms by email is 1700 hours on Thursday, December 31.
