New Delhi: Talented actor Saeed Jaffery, who starred in several Bollywood and international films, passed away on Sunday at the age of 86.

Saeed Jaffery had appeared in many British and Indian films and was reportedly the first Indian actor to tour Shakespeare.

He has Bollywood hits like Dil, Kishan Kanhaiya, Ghar Ho Toh Aisa, Raja Ki Aayegi Baarat, Deewana Mastana, Mohabbat, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Aunty No 1, Albela, Judaai and Ajooba, among others, to his credit.

The news of his death was shared on Facebook by his niece Shaheen Aggarwal. The cause of his death is not known.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the passing away of veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey.

‘Shri Saeed Jaffrey was a multifaceted actor whose flair and versatility will always be remembered. Deepest condolences on his passing away,’ the Prime Minister said.
