Indian ‘superman’ Rajinikanth cancels birthday fete

Superstar Rajinikanth who is the heart of Tamil cinema turned 65 today. The actor who’s popularity has gained recognition for regional cinema worldwide has decided to cancel his birthday celebration in solidarity with flood victim in Tamil Nadu, interestingly the state is also referred as ‘Rajini Land’.
The actor extended his support to the rain-affected victims of Tamil Nadu by donating Rs.10 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
Not only this, he also requested his fans not to celebrate his birthday and instead help the flood victims in the state.
From the way he flips his cigarette to his signature walk, the man is known for his inimitable and unparalleled style in his movies.
Recently famous director Sajid Khan launched a book on Rajinikanth but the superstar was not seen at the event.
While unveiling the book, the director said, ‘I am extremely honoured to unveil a book about Rajinikanth. It’s a fantastic book. I have read some parts of it, and as an admirer now I am dying to read the whole book’.
‘I am truly one of his biggest fans...Rajinikanth has made regional cinema popular worldwide. He is as good as Jackie Chan. Rajinikanth can be called as Asian superstar,’ he added.
‘The Warrior Within’, which follows the life of the superstar, recounts Rajinikanth’s voyage into the world of movies.
