Dhaka: Popular Bangla film actor Ananta Jalil distributed relief among the victims of flood affected areas at Chilmari upazila in Kurigram on Thursday afternoon.

The businessman-turned-actor provide aide to around 2,500 families in three unions in Kurigram.

Ananta posted some photographs of his Kurigram visit on his official Facebook page on Thursday.

In the post, he said: ‘Assalamualaikum Friends. Helping flood victims is not a charity, it’s their right. I am beside them as Allah asks us to stand beside sufferer.’

The actor was at Thanahat union’s Pilot High School to provide relief to around 1,100 families. He also provided relief to around 800 families of Ramna union and 500 families of Chilmari union.

The ‘Khoj, the Search’-actor also requested everyone to stand beside the flood victims.
