Indian film actress Kangana Ranaut before making it big in Bollywood has faced the brunt of being famous. Recently the actress spoke her heart out and it was shocking reasonably literally. At the launch of journalist Barkha Dutt’s book The Unquiet Land, the fearless actress spoke about her past when she was physically abused and hit by a certain someone from the industry, who she didn’t name.

Kangana said, ‘It was a very difficult and very harsh time. I was physically abused. I don’t have to go into details.’

When Barkha Dutt questioned her if it was someone from the industry, Kangana exclaimed, ‘I felt trapped. You feel people might help you. But there are no free lunches. But when you are going you fall for it.’

Kangana also shared the time when she was stalked and hit by a man from Bollywood who acted as her mentor and godfather. She said, ‘This man who was my father’s age hit me hard on my head when I was 17. I started bleeding. I took out my sandal and hit him head hard and he started to bleed too. I lodged an FIR against the man.’

Kangana Ranaut was born on 23 March 1987. She has established a career in Bollywood and is the recipient of two National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards in three categories.

She is particularly known in the media for expressing her honest opinions in public and is frequently credited as one of the most fashionable Indian celebrities.

Kangana Ranaut made her feature film debut in the 2006 thriller Gangster.
