Faridpur: Three-day national conference on national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam will begin here on 22 January.

The programme has been jointly organized by Nazrul Institute, Dhaka and Faridpur district administration.

In the three day programme leading literary and cultural exponents of Nazrul will participate.

The programme will be held at local Ambica Memorial ground. During British rule Nazrul had visited Faridpur several times and many memories are still alive here.

A number of subcommittees have been formed in a meeting held on last Monday in the office of DC of Faridpur to make the event successful.
